Foyer screen

Show your upcoming events and notices on a TV or screen in your entrance, so families see what's on as they come in. It updates by itself when your staff post, and families can scan its QR code with their phone's camera to start following you.

Foyer screens are included on Premium. See JuggleBoard for schools.

What it shows

  • Your school or centre's name, the term and week, the time and the date.
  • Today: today's events, until each one finishes. On a school day it shows until 3pm even when nothing else is on; after that, and at weekends, the screen goes straight to what's next.
  • Next: the events after today, up to six events in all.
  • Notices: your two newest. A notice's first line is shown in bold, so start it with a short heading.
  • Get these on your phone: a QR code families scan with their phone's camera. It opens a page that says how to follow you on JuggleBoard, with your invitation code if families need one to join. It can also be scanned in JuggleBoard itself.

It only shows what your staff post. Parents' posts never appear, and neither do names, children or reminders, because anyone in your foyer can see the screen.

Add a screen

You need a screen with a web browser: a smart TV, a TV with a streaming stick (such as a Chromecast with Google TV or a Fire TV Stick), a small computer, or a digital signage service that shows a web page.

  1. On the screen, open the web browser and go to app.juggleboard.com/sign. It shows a 6-character code.
  2. On a computer, sign in to JuggleBoard as staff at app.juggleboard.com.
  3. Click Foyer screen in the menu on the left.
  4. Type the code from the screen. Give the screen a name, such as Front office, so you know which one it is.
  5. Click Add screen. Your events show on the screen within a few seconds.

The code changes every 10 minutes. If it has changed, type the new one.

The screen checks for new events and notices every 5 minutes, and asks the browser to keep the display on. Everything on it moves a few pixels every 10 minutes, so no part of the picture stays still all day. If it loses its internet connection, it keeps showing what it had, and after 15 minutes it says when it last updated.

Remove a screen

In Foyer screen, find the screen under Your screens and click Remove. It stops showing your events straight away and shows a new code, so you can add it again later.

Your screens also says when each screen last checked in. "Showing now" means it's working.
