Information for schools and centres

JuggleBoard puts your school's or early learning centre's events and notices in front of families, alongside everything else in their week, with a reminder the day before. Everything on this page works the same way for schools and centres.

Your school is probably already listed

JuggleBoard lists schools before they sign up, so parents can find yours and post events for each other. When you claim it, your staff can post as the school, and you can set your contact details and decide how it's used.

Claim your school

  1. Email support@juggleboard.com from your school email address. It must be a Google account (for example Google Workspace), because staff sign in with Google. Tell us the school's name.
  2. We'll set you up as an admin and let you know.
  3. On a computer, go to app.juggleboard.com and sign in with that Google account. JuggleBoard recognises you as an admin and opens the admin portal.

Info

The admin portal only works in a web browser on a computer. On a phone, JuggleBoard shows the normal app.

Tell your parents

  1. In Invitation QR code, click Make poster, then print it or save it as a PDF.
  2. Share it in your newsletter, on your website or social media, or print it for the office and classrooms.
  3. Parents install JuggleBoard and scan the QR code or type the code. See Choose your schools for what they see.

Show your events in your foyer

On Premium, you can show your upcoming events and notices on a TV or screen in your entrance. It updates by itself and shows only what your staff post. See Foyer screen.

Reminders for families

Families can tap the bell on any of your events, and their phone reminds them at 9am the day before, so the gold coin, the sunhat and the signed slip turn up on the day. If you change an event's date, time or place, their reminders move with it and the event shows Reminder updated. If you delete or cancel it, the reminders are cancelled too. Reminders are free for every school and centre, on any plan.

When an event is only for some years or groups, untick Everyone under Who's it for? and choose them. Families whose children are in other years then don't see it, and the families it's for see their child's name on it. A feed with only what matters to them is one parents keep using.

Each of your school's events shows staff how many families have set a reminder for it (only the number, not who), so you can see what's drawing interest.

Who can post

Your staff's events are labelled Staff. At Premium schools they're also shown in green with a verified badge.

Depending on your access level, parents can post too, for things like the PTA disco or Saturday sport. Everyone posting agrees to the community guidelines, and anyone can report a post that breaks them. See Your school's details for the access levels, and JuggleBoard for schools for Free and Premium.

Parents' privacy

To keep families safe, JuggleBoard doesn't show staff who follows your school or centre, or their emails. You see roughly how many people follow it, and you can make a change for one person by typing their email. The answer is the same whether or not they follow you.

Every change is recorded with who made it, and JuggleBoard support reviews these records from time to time. You can make up to 20 changes a day.

Let a parent post

Depending on your access level, you can let a parent post events, for example for the PTA.

  1. Open Users (on a phone, Manage users).
  2. Under Who can post, type their email.
  3. Click Let them post, or Stop them posting.

Remove a parent

Sometimes a parent shouldn't get your school's or centre's information, for example because of a court order. You can remove them yourself, even before they've joined.

  1. Open Users (on a phone, Manage users).
  2. Under Remove someone, type the parent's email.
  3. Click Remove from and your school's name.
  4. Say why, for the record, then click Remove.

If they follow you, they stop seeing your events and notices, and their reminders for your events are turned off. Either way, they can't join until you undo it. We don't tell them they were removed, or why.

To let someone join again, find them under Removed and click Undo.
